Norton Museum Women’s Walk
Saturday March 7th was International Women’s Day at the The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. I was among 4 other female chalk artists asked to recreate a famous work of art by a woman artist. The event took pace along Cranes Nest Way on the south entrance of the museum, with live music and vendors along the street to celebrate the day.

Art Lit 2020, collaboration of arts and literature hosted by Broward County Libraries and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center was a great success this month. 25 chalk artists joined live painters, virtual reality artists, and more at this 3rd annual community event on Saturday, January 11th. I was happy to continue the role of chalk artist coordinator in helping to bring the art of live street painting to the City of Pompano Beach.
Free Our Seas Festival
The City of Hollywood hosted a beautiful environmental art festival at the Marine Environmental Education Center right on the beach last Saturday, April 21st. Showcasing local artists, vendors and trash to art projects, the community came out and showed their support by cleaning the beach, planting new sea oats, and raising awareness. Here is the chalk mural I created from 12-5pm next to other installation artists and sculptors.

{PBCC press release}
In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Pompano Beach Cultural Center is bringing back one of the area’s most exciting events, ArtPOP! This event’s theme, Phenomenal Women, will celebrate female powerhouses with an evening of free entertainment including live chalk art, an art war between top female artists, dance installations, digital projections, live bands, food trucks and tours of our newest exhibit, ‘no constraints to beauty.”
“We are thrilled to be creating another ArtPOP!,” said curator Byron Swart. “These events celebrate the electric excitement that happens when diverse forms of expression collide. With March being National Women’s Month, we are honored to be showcasing an array of fierce and fabulous women!”
The outdoor courtyard of the center will be transformed into an interactive playground featuring CHALKart! hosted by Carrie Bennett and introducing Lester Mendoza and Gabriella Guerriero; lighting and digital design productions by Zebedee Productions; live art by a Pompano Beach favorite, Todd the Painter; homemade art vendors, food trucks, and the return of artWar! This popular art battle will feature a competition between Kelcie McQuaid and contenders, Sarah Haung, Stacy Coon, Alejandra Abad, Sona, Luis Daniel Pedroz
