Art Lit 2020, collaboration of arts and literature hosted by Broward County Libraries and the Pompano Beach Cultural Center was a great success this month. 25 chalk artists joined live painters, virtual reality artists, and more at this 3rd annual community event on Saturday, January 11th. I was happy to continue the role of chalk artist coordinator in helping to bring the art of live street painting to the City of Pompano Beach.

Join us for our opening reception at the historic Sample McDougald House Friday, September 14th at 6:30pm to view this stunning student art exhibit! Students from across Broward County are joining forces to showcase artwork focused on the beauty of our land and water. Featured works include photography, sculpture, painting and recycled art creations focused on raising awareness of plastic waste on our coastlines. A percentage of all art sales benefit this beautiful historic museum so come purchase a work of art to take with you! Tickets at the door or online www.samplemcdougald.org
I have the honor and privilege of being apart of an exhibit called “Courage”, a traveling art show with a purpose to showcase artists response to the question, “What does courage look like?” It is an exhibit based in Greensboro, NC and traveling to galleries, hospitals, and showrooms around NC and beyond 2015-2016. I am excited to see the impact of this series!

“Refraction”
“The face of courage burns brightly with light and vision. It’s course is victory, and conquers discouragement with the light of its strength.”

“Tiger Lilies”
“Lilies are a symbol of refined beauty and wealth. The tiger represents boldness, confidence, and regal beauty. We are all capable of royal, refined beauty as we move forward in our lives and blossom into our strongest self.”
